A quote:
The fact is, feelings are gonna be hurt here. You just have to figure out how you can make yourself happy, and you should be honest about it. That’s really what matters.
Any thoughts (No major spoilers):
The Tuttle girls are back for another crazy summer! This time, it’s Kelsi instead of Jamie, who’s off spending her summer at a writing camp, but Beth and Ella are still here. It’s a new summer for each girl, as they try to deal with the situations they’ve landed themselves in.
Beth is the character I like most. She has a difficult situation, yet I was able to go through what she is thinking, even in third person. Ella has sworn in the beginning of the summer that she would change for the better and commit herself to only one guy. A deep part of herself is revealed, one that not many get to see. Kelsi, Ella’s sister, is spending the summer before she goes to college, and she is on her way to figure out who she is, as well as develop the relationship she has with her sister.
I find that I like this book better than the first. There are circumstances which many, many girls can refer to in the relationships they’re in. It is mostly based on summer romances, similar to the first book, but they can also happen to anyone at anytime. Beneath the fashion, the glam, the tans, and the steaminess, there are the important lessons and experiences to be learned. Of course, there’s drama and lots of tears, too. For some reason, I just can’t stop reading the books in this series.
