Any thoughts (Vague spoilers):

I missed Meg Cabot and the Airhead series! I missed Em’s quirky voice and wonderful sense of humour. I missed Christopher, Frida, Lulu, Brandon, and Gabriel. It’s been a very long time! But this is a great end to the series although I felt that the usual spark was missing. Still, the ending is captivating and fresh.

I enjoyed Em Watts’s snarky comments about everything. Sure she can go on forever and I still would have laughed, but when she keeps on summarizing the previous events, I tended to skim over them. Her growth as a character, however, really shone in Runaway. She’s tougher and more confident in the things that she does. I totally applaud her for making smart decisions.

In the end, all goes well. Yay, happy endings! Of course, Meg Cabot throws in a little bit of fluff and romance for everybody, which I can’t help but cheer for. The all but mysterious issue with Stark is revealed and someone...is going down. I love it when everyone works together as a team!

While it’s obvious that there are light aspects in the series, there is definitely a message about beauty, self, and love. So if you haven’t started the Airhead series, I suggest you do so very soon as you will find it very worth it!

Any thoughts:

A few minutes ago, I just finished reading the second book out of the series. I didn’t get to review the first one so what I’ll do is the same thing I did with The Vampire Diaries series. I’ll talk about them in general.

When I first read the summary, my first thought was, “Whaa..?” I was so confused! (Later I realized how dumb I was, haha.) But I knew I had to read it. I mean, it’s by Meg Cabot! She’s awesome! And the minute I finished Airhead, I knew I made the right choice because not only does it leave you questions that are just desperate to find its answers, but it makes you really think. There’s a deep message beneath the whole plot of the series. If you put science or technology and beauty or fame together, you’ll figure it out. That’s what makes it so special.

I love Em Watts as the heroine. She’s laugh-out-loud funny, intelligent and unselfish. And it’s pretty amusing how she adjusts herself with the new lifestyle. The other characters are really fun, as well. I often find that Meg Cabot’s characters are relatable and enjoyable so it’s easy to love them.

I’m guessing it’s mostly aimed at teens, though they do say quite a few swear words. So if you’re interested in reading something light and entertaining, then this is the book for you.

Any thoughts:

The quote above got a chuckle out of me. It would have been quite romantic and full of meaning if only it didn’t come from a character that is loathed, but, hey, that’s what I love.

Anyway, I remember reading a book by Meg Cabot a while ago and simply adored it, just like this one, though Boy Meets Girl is written in unique formats such as letters, emails, diary entries, instant messaging, transcripts and much more. So all you really get is the dialogue between the characters, except for the diary entries in which Kate tells the story.

As a teen, I really, really loved it. I’m sorry for saying it many times but it’s true! I am still squealing from delight, which is probably why I can’t review this book properly (sorry again!!). I just want to suggest this book to all teens who wouldn’t mind the book written in all dialogue (which I love. See? There goes that word again). I’ll be certain to read more of Meg Cabot’s ‘Boy Series’!
