Friday's Finest (10)

Friday's Finest is a new meme hosted by Steff & Justine from A Bookful of Thoughts.

Rules:

~Post a quote that really stuck to you after reading it in a book.
~Make sure it isn't a spoiler!
~If you'd like, expand on what you think it means and why you chose it.

"Because horror on Earth is real and it is every day. It is like a flower or like the sun; it cannot be contained."

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

I agree with this quote. Horror does happen everyday. Sometimes, in our lives, and sometimes, in others. Most often we ignore it, and most often, I wonder how we can even do that.

  1. Great quote, of course. And I think your analysis of it can be quotable upon itself, lol. Horror's always there, but so is love. And our blogger buddi-ness! :)

  6. Great quote. I write them down in my phone if I don't have my pad with me when I read them. This one is from my newest favorite book called "The Knife of Never Letting Go." It blew my mind. I am reading the second book in the series right now. Anyway, the quote is.

"But the lesson of forever and ever is that knowing a man's mind ain't knowing the man."

    Love love love it!
